"UNEEDA BISCUITS" ADVERTISING BOWL
- 1910s - 1920s National Biscuit Company (NABISCO). 4.5" diameter x 3.25". Color litho decals on glazed white ceramic.
Original "scoop" bowl (used to scoop crackers into a customer's bag) with 3 original decal images of Uneeda's famous "Raincoat Boy" mascot. The decals appear on the front & back of the bowl, & is repeated on one side of the interior.
An early & scarce ADVERTISING artifact.
Condition is considered only FAIR with miscellaneous surface/stain/edge wear. Moderate glaze crazing with scattered decal chipping (most noticeable on outer back image). Scattered rim edge chipping with one 3" hairline crack on bowl front area. Decal colors are still bold, bright & attractive.
Despite obvious defects, we feel this is still a very displayable example by most standards (see photos).
