1982 RARE Cabbage Patch Kid PREEMIE Pacifier Mouth Doll Kids.
I was told this was a 1982 preemie prototype before the Preemies were released to the public.
There are some differences to it than the ones that came in the stores. Preemies weren’t released this early.
It has the original black signature… I haven’t seen any preemie with this colored signature and side tag and it has a much smaller tag that’s different than the store released ones. It also doesn’t have a butt crack or toe stitches. And NO belly button. It has a felt heart stitched on her back as well, like it’s been in the hospital and fixed.
Wearing a real baby Pink romper made by Baby Bliss with stork on the left side. It’s wearing real baby clothes like the original Little People wore.
There is green paint or something on the left hand, right wrist and small spot on leg. Not sure if it can come out with some type of paint thinner.
#4 pacifier head mold. Bald, blue eyes.
Side tag says 1978, 1982 Original. (OK) factory
16 inches tall which is the size of a full sized CPK. They then made the preemies a bit smaller.
See last pic where I compare another side tag from a 1983 doll next to this one. The tag on the right is what the store released ones look like and the one on the left is the smaller different preemie one.
As you can see there are several differences to this prototype. This is a one of a kind!!! You won’t see another like it. Pacifier is missing.
Overall condition is very good!!!
Ive been collecting these dolls since they first came out. Ive owned and sold hundreds of them. And this is one of my rarest Ive ever owned. Sadly, I have several medical bills I need to pay off and so I have to sell this prized doll.
It doesn’t come with any paperwork but as a serious collector can see, the differences are obvious.
It comes with a yellow cat baby squeeze toy.
