What Is This Item?
This is a cast rod of polyurethane.  The diameter is 3.75 inches, and the length is 37.75 inches.  Color is Black.  It is 85A Durometer.
Originally purchased from Polymer Plastics Corporation.  This item has been sitting on a shelf in a climate controlled warehouse for several years, and it is time to get it out of the way.  It was expensive when originally pruchased, and prices for new polyurethane rod has dramatically increased in the last several years.
I went on the PPC website and calculated the current price of this item, and was shocked to find out it would cost 6.50!
Why Am I Selling This
This item was originally purchased for a project.  Several pieces out of the original order were presented to local machine shops in order to obtain manufacturing cost bids.  It was found that the machinists in the area did not have the correct equipment to cut polyurethane accurately, and the labor costs quoted were several times above the projected selling price of the final product.  At that time, we abandonned the idea of using lathe cut polyurethane and began working on molds for injection molding the material.  The remaining, unused polyurethane rod has been sitting on a shelf ever since.
