    Description

    Selling is a Vintage Original 7 1/2" x 9 1/2" B&W glossy photo with no borders of ALEXIS SMITH from the 1941 film, "THE GREAT LIE".
    On the back of the photo there is a blue ink date stamp, "June 26 41", a black ink photographer stamp, "BERT LONGWORTH", and an attached typed snipe discussing that Alexis is climbing a tree among almond blossoms and her upcoming film, "The Great Lie" (See Scan).  I cannot find any information on the film, "THE GREAT LIE", so possibly the film later changed its name.
    She would only be 20 years old and 1940-41 was the very beginning of her film career.  See my other listing from this setting with ALEXIS SMITH.
    Photo is in VERY GOOD condition with the most minimal handling wear.  EXCELLENT resolution and focus.
