Replaced previous Broan duct cap that had become very brittle...

Replaced previous Broan duct cap that had become very brittle with age. . Had hoped to just use the new louver blades, but they were slightly different. Was able to remove duct pipe and replace with the Cover and blade assembly only. Very close in size to original 8” x 8” cover size.

The material used is very poor. My original wall cap lasted into 2017, when I upgraded the exhaust fan and enlarged the duct to 6in, resulting a need for a larger wall cap. The one above lasted two years, because the flaps bent and I had to replace it. I painted the flaps this time.

I bought this online so I had no way to visually inspect it before buying it. I was really disappointed when I received it. I couldn't believe how incredibly cheap this product is. There can't be more than two dollars worth of materials and labor in it. It's a very flimsy product and quite frankly I wouldn't pay more than five dollars for it. I returned mine the day I received it.
