Gia Gemolite Mark V 570 Microscope

Description

Gia Gemolite Mark V 570, purchased at an estate sale.  We took apart the florescent light to see why the ends didn't come together. It appears  there is a replacement  ballast which is a bit too large for the light case. The light is functioning as it should.
We are not microscope experts, so please ask questions or request more pictures.
The pictures are of diamond earring taken with our cell phone camera.
One picture is with dark field the other with front light.
