Main Features:
Ability to compare bullets and other objects.
Comparison bridge with center knob allowing image to be continuously variably split from 100% left side to 50-50 to 100% right side, and everything in between.
The divider line looks good. Often times, these are way too thick, making it hard to do proper comparison.
Fluorescent illumination. Most of these units have the halogen fiber-optic lighting. Most professional forensic specialists prefer the fluorescent compared to the fiber-optic. It produces a more uniform illumination over a wider surface area and without shadowing.
Replacement bulbs can be found online, but we weren’t able to find these small ballasts anywhere.
Fluorescent ballasts are mounted on an adjustable articulating arm. They can be locked down to most any desired position.
The small transformers, one for each light, are 110 V only.
Binocular viewing head. With eyepiece pair: 10 X.
The head has the ability to attach a camera. This does not include any camera or camera adapter.
One pair of Independent Stages. They focus (z-direction) completely independently, as well as move in the X and Y direction independently.
Rear pole stand allows quick adjustment for focusing distance.
The two small stages are used for more precise focusing.
Heavy cast metal base plate provides excellent thermal and mechanical stability.
Objectives:
Five Place Objective Nosepiece.
Three pair of objectives: 1X, 2X, 3X (one for each side).
All objectives have iris diaphragms built in. This gives the ability to increase contrast as well as cut out extraneous reflective illumination.

This microscope is in good condition.
This is a high quality Reichert (Made in Germany) optical instrument.
This microscope was tested and it operated fine. The focusing gears, the stage movement, the rotation of the objectives, the view splitter, and the overall optics are good.
On almost all of these units, you will see some specks of dust in the optics. This one is pretty good, but it does have some dust specks.
