    Description

Back long before Keebler owned it, Sunshine Biscuit Co. was housed in a "thousand window bakery" in Kansas City, owned by brothers Jacob and John Loose and their pal John Wiles. Once named for its founders, the cracker and cookie company heads were so inspired by the bright and cheerful production space, they renamed it "Sunshine".  That cheerful attitude shows in this terrific 1935 ad for Sunshine's answer to Saltines, Krispy crackers. A cute little cartoon chef offers a contemplative lady her choice of soups with which to eat her yummy crackers. Adorable!
We rescued this great print ad from a 1935 women's magazine and trimmed away any heavier age browning from the edges and/or staple marks. There are a few light rumples here and there from page turning and years stored but it looks great and is all set for you to mount, frame, use in your crafting or throw in an acrylic frame or magnet back and decorate your fridge, lunch nook, or wherever
you enjoy your soup, salad and sun. ;)
